Since the beginning of the new millennium, most African countries, especially Nigeria has begun to witness a gradual but steady growth in various sectors of their economic,social and political life.
The Nigerian banking industry, for instance, has taken the world by storm, launching itself into international recognition, standard, prominence and acceptance. The Nigerian entertainment industry (both music and movie) has today become one of the country’s top income earners, shooting the industry into an enviable third place on the global movie scene. Nigerian international cargo firms are gradually displacing century-old courier companies in the country and making their marks on the global document and cargo delivery map.
What we do at African Exhibitions & Seminars Ltd (AFES) can be summarized in a three-directional standpoint viz:

EXHIBITIONS:
In doing this, we occasionally open the gates of superlative exhibition centres in the world’s most famous venues to showcase to an International audience the best of what we can achieve, have achieved and will achieve as Africans, in various aspects of our economic, political and social life.
SEMINARS:
We usually use exhibition platforms to assemble together Africa’s best brains in chosen sectors to brainstorm on issues affecting us as Africans and to find ways of exploring practical answers to our African practical problems. This is the seminar part of our business responsibility.
From our Head Office in London, United kingdom, we act as a keen international observer of players in African businesses, social and political scenes, carefully noting salient outstanding activities capable of launching an African country into the comity of great industrialized and politically-mature nations. When satisfied with our observations of a particular sector, we then open the venue gates for an international exhibition or seminar.
Our officially appointed Nigerian representative, Westlikos Intl acts as an on-the-ground African local station that helps in collecting, collating and correlating data and info on potential African institutions and vital economic sectors that we need to open the gates of exhibitions and seminars for.
In 2009 and the years ahead, AFES will organize several exhibitions, seminars and workshops bordering on African developmental issues.
AWARDS:
We also initiated a tradition of occasionally rolling out the big drums in International Award ceremonies to celebrate African achievements and successes. This is called ‘AFES Achievement Award For Outstanding Africans’
AFES Awards are instituted on the basis of recognizing and honouring quality performance and diligence in service and total commitment towards the execution of set goals.
AFES Awards are always held in world-class venues with world-class standards.
As an African, receiving an AFES Award automatically confers on the recipient an International quality status which carries with it global respect, honour and International acceptance and recognition.
Amongst so many other events, The Nigerian Property & Business Expo, UK is one exhibition and seminar event which AFES will be hosting yearly. For 2009, the Exhibition is slated to hold at the very prestigious and magnificent Alexandra Palace, Wood Green, London. Date to be announced soon!
As we roll this and other International events in our stable out, we will always keep you updated on their planning, furnish you with a time-table of activities and above all, offer you the opportunity of being part of these great programmes.
